NYDFS ANNOUNCES NEW HEAD OF ENFORCEMENT AND “DFS CONNECT” REGULATORY MANAGEMENT PLATFORM

In a pair of recent announcements, NYDFS:

  •   Announced the appointment of Gabriel O’Malley as the permanent Executive Deputy Superintendent for the Consumer Protection and Financial Enforcement Division.  He joins after serving for many years in enforcement at the CFPB.
  • Announced the launch of its regulatory management platform “DFS Connect.”  According to the agency’s announcement, “the DFS Connect digital portal will centralize the Department’s interactions with regulated entities and consumers. DFS Connect is eliminating outdated, fragmented systems and replacing them with a single, streamlined platform that enhances efficiency, improves oversight, and ensures better service to businesses and consumers.”
